For over 20 years, thanks to columnist Ann Landers, April 2nd is known as ?Reconciliation Day.? In honor of that, let?s look at some famous reconciliations after some epic Hollywood incidents!
We won?t soon forget what Kanye West did to Taylor Swift or what happened between many other big names throughout history. But now let?s take a look at what happened afterwards and how they are doing now.
So here?s my top 5!
5. I have to put Taylor and Kanye on the list. After interrupting her first ever acceptance speech and belittling her, the sweet country singer forgave him! He called her and was apparently very serious about being sorry. She forgave him, and though there has been some joking back and forth, they seem to be okay now!
4. Athletes don?t always get along too well. That was the case for Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter. A-Rod made comments to Esquire Magazine in 2001 saying about Jeter, ?he has never had to lead. He can just go and play and have fun.? Somehow they fixed things and got back to their close relationship, that Jeter considers to be brotherly.
3. Hilary Clinton and President Barack Obama had a very famous reconciliation after running against each other for the democratic presidential spot. Of course during these elections you have to make yourself look good, a lot of times by making others look bad (see what she said here)! So they got together in a private and very secret meeting and have been ?friends? ever since!
2. Sonny & Cher were one of the cutest married couples in the 60?s. However, later on they fell apart and had a very ugly divorce! Then several years later Cher attended her ex?s restaurant opening and the two seemed to patch things up, even doing a show together again. Though things were not the same as before, at least they made things good before Sonny?s death in 1998.
1. Now a very recent fix and one that I think is great, is the situation between mother & daughter, Wynonna and Naomi Judd. Their whole family has had issues and after seeing a counselor for 5 years, they all have a strong bond. On April 10th a documentary type show, ?The Judds? will premier and show how far they have come!
And everyone lives happily ever after? well, until the next fight or altercation! Either way it is nice to look back at how some of the problems have been solved. What did you think of my famous reconciliations list? Any others you know of? Be sure to leave those comments in the section below!
