So Chris Brown is the victim now? The singer continues to insist that people are picking on him, and has now added Good Morning America to the list.
Reports confirm that he did eventually apologize for his tirade behind the scenes at the ABC morning show?but he also managed to sprinkle in a little blame while he was at it, and even used the word ?exploit.? He also insists that he was not aware that the interview would have any focus on the Rihanna incident.
Here?s where my beef lies: When celebrities screw up royally, the first wise PR move is to come off as VERY apologetic. I?ll offer Michael Vick as an example. What he did was beyond heinous, especially in a country of animal lovers. But throughout the entire process, whether you believed him or not, the guy seemed very sorry. Heck, he even tried to volunteer with animal welfare groups.
But Brown on the other hand, well he has seemed defiant from the get go. If I?m not mistaken we have yet to get a real, sincere apology for his actions and subsequent felony conviction. In fact, he tends to imply that what he did was not such a big deal, and that the media is hell-bent on destroying his image.
Well, Chris, you do a pretty good job of that yourself, friend.
The only thing admirable about his post-conviction behavior has been his handling of probation?until this week, that is. If ABC decided to call the police to file any kind of criminal complaint against him, it may have constituted a violation of probation.
Rather than flipping out on them, he should be thanking them for showing him some mercy.
I?m just sayin?.
What do you think? Was Chris Brown the victim of some GMA bullying?
