Robert Pattinson might be up for a role in the new movie Akira, after reading for the antagonist part of Tetsuo.
Reportedly the film is set in ?rebuilt New Manhattan where a leader of a biker gang saves his friend from a medical experiment.? In the flick, his character has psychic powers and befriends Kaneda. Afterward, he becomes Kaneda?s enemy.
According to sources, Garrett Hedlund, Michael Fassbender, Chris Pine, Justin Timberlake and Joaquin Phoenix are all reading for the protagonist role of Kaneda.
